the Purries! These are games and elements that made kitty purr for whatever reason. More like months or years, especially considering you build monuments. Three days to complete levels, but several rounds of tax income per day. Rome might have been built in a day after all: Empire Builder - Ancient Egypt. Punny: Plan It Green, Dee Ziner and Bill Dur ( HSH series), Bill Ding ( LEGO Island 1) Honorable mention: All downloadable games made with recycled electrons. Lots and lots of yummy recipes to make and sell or trade, most of which are optional.Įnvironmentally friendly fun: Plan It Green. There's already a sequel out, and it is muuuch better in the language department. Moose and squirrel accent: Be Rich! This good game by Russian developers has some slightly broken English. Wonderburg is a bit more generic, while FGT raids the Brothers Grimm. Both play off of various fairy tale characters and conventions. These are oddities kitty found noteable.įairy tale fun: Wonderburg and Fairy Godmother Tycoon. Next up are the Kitty Kuriosities, a cute ball of yarn in bronze. All three had some sort of flaw that prevented kitty from finishing. Either forces a total reboot of the compy.ī-Movie (Games): Cinema Empire, Cinema Tycoon 1 and 2. The screen keeps freezing on kitty's decent XP computer, or a game menu refuses to go away once you've made your selection. It is impossible to unlock features and therefore win future levels otherwise. A points-based scheme to buy features for future levels relies on reaching tough expert levels. This locked kitty into an unwinnable position, even following the walkthrough. Kitty hadn't bought enough in a skill to pass a door into a quest area needed to finish main storyline, halfway through game, and enemies don't respawn for extra experience points. This is easy?!?!? (Worst difficulty): Empires and Dungeons Stupidest mistake: The typo that made Legend of Sanna impossible to finish. All the more annoying because of how far you get into the game. You cannot prevent him from falling off the screen, and you will need to rescue him in order to pass a very late level.

However, this is forgiven because of the game's unique structure that made you revisit areas in new levels.Ĭall an exterminator, there's a (fatal) bug: LEGO Fever. Kitty needed this badly and could not finish the game without it.ĭishonorable mention: Campaign map, Plan It Green. Worst feature to forget to implement: Restart level, Cinema Tycoon 2. These are, of course, the more dubious honors from kitty. With that disclaimer, let's get to the awards, shall we? :-)įirst up, the Hairballs. She hasn't even monetized her blog yet, period. Memo to the FCC (as if you are watching kitty's little blogginess, hee hee): Kitty has not entered into any affiliate venture with these developers or her favorite game site. These are only the casual downloadable games she reviewed, and do not include the huge commerical ones such as Age of Empires and Dungeon Siege she decided to stick in for fun. Okay, so kitty decided to hop on the end o'year award bandwagon and summarize her feelings on the casual games she reviewed this past year via a few awards.
